| Hey peeps, it's the first weekend I've been home in awhile, so I was trying to make some phone calls back home on Skype. But since my computer is so jacked having these mini-freezeups, the connection would constantly get dropped. I'll keep trying next time I'm able. If not, drop me a line!

| Hey folk,
It's been forever. I give up. Expect periodic updates from me, but not frequent or regular ones.
Everything is still fantastic here. I'm loving my job. I'm staying busy with numerous activities and pursuits. Things are leisurely and enjoyable.
One huge problem is that my computer is still jacked. It's horribly crippled. I never noticed how necessary USB ports were until mine were rendered useless. No mouse, no external harddrives, no printer, no picture transfers, no iPod changes, no nothing! (*_*)
Thankfully, Best Buy is being a darling about it. It helps that I got ahold of the general manager. In short, after a few emails, he said that because of the damage (internal and cosmetic) they would have to replace the whole computer, and that the replacement value would be equal to or less the original cost of the computer! My computer is 2 1/2 years old. I won't be able to spare sending it off until July though which he was okay with.
I was intending to sell my computer which is why the cosmetic damage is such a big deal. I was planning on ~$600. Now, I'll be able to get ~$1500 which will get me a Mac instead.
Here's some pictures that make me happy. I love Gloomy Bear. "Gloomy
Bear, a 2m tall, violent, pink bear that eats humans. The design is an
antithesis to the excessively cute products produced by Disney,
Sanrio's Hello Kitty, and other companies. Mori Chack believes that
humans and animals are incompatible, and an animal is wild by nature.
This is expressed most pronouncedly by the Gloomy Bear, which is often
shown blood stained and striking humans. (I've written about Gloomy before on this blog, but Xanga has a terrible search feature and tracking things down with the touchpad is too slow). One of my friends got me
this new Gloomy Bear paraphernalia for my birthday. The first is on the
night of our birthday celebration. Notice the joy of the drunks. The
second was a fun photo shoot a couple days later. Notice the mock
"senior picture" pose.

And here are some pics of the wonderful Yuri. She volunteered to serve tea at an event sometime after my birthday and came over in her kimono. So we went to the park and had some fun taking pics. Grrr! Gloomy Yuri!

| Even though few if any read this, I still feel guilty about not
updating. But life has been grand! And dang busy! It's only been a week
and a half, but:
I returned to Japan,
got resettled,
the new school year started,
Best Buy both repaired and f*cked up my computer!!!,
I got drunk under the cherry trees, several times,
Yuri and I have seen each other every day,
I biked 85km through an island chain in Southern Japan,
today was my birthday,
my fly was open for the first class of one of my classes,
I've been studying Japanese like a madman, the list just goes on and on!
I'm kinda stressed out right now. But I'll be back to the community
soon. Well, after this week since I have something every night until
Monday. Ha!
